February 2nd, 2008: Brian's recording of Eric Moe's Legend of the Sad Triad is now available for instant download from music+culture digital media. Legend of the Sad Triad is the First Prize winning piece in the music+culture 2007 Inaugural International Competition for Composers. The recording will also be available on iTunes and Amazon in the next few months.
June 15th, 2007: Brian's piano transcription of the Adagio from Bruckner's 7th Symphony has received a favorable review in Clavier magazine. Check out their May/June issue or visit the blog to read the full review.

October 22nd, 2006: To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Shostakovich's birth, Brian has officially released his 5th CD, Brian Hanke Plays Shostakovich!
The disc features three of Brian's recent solo piano transcriptions of Shostakovich Symphonies: the 3rd movement from the 8th, the slow movement from the 11th and the epic 1st movement of the 7th. These works have never been heard on piano before and they make for fascinating and moving listening!
